Yep, that did it.  Thanks!

Oh, hi.

You don't need to play the notes. Any alignment issues are accidental. The lyrics should be the same on both sheets (I dug up old versions to post online and may have grabbed the wrong files), but sullen vs. secret shouldn't effect the solve. Sorry for the false significance.

There's no morse. It is worth noting the bass only plays 0's and 1's (though Greg immediately thought binary and told me I should add a meta message there. It would have been more impressively elegant, but a tough rewrite for a puzzle most people wouldn't see).

The hex hint is the right lead. The first line of lyrics is also a push. And the how-to in the handbook specifically tells you how to play the first 10 notes on a guitar. Does that help?

This is really awesome, thanks.  I love being able to try and solve the puzzles the Golems missed.

What's most impressive is that I imagine there is a great energy-drain that would occur after an effort like this, and GC wouldn't ever want to touch Ghost Patrol again for a long, long time.  Getting all these puzzles together online in a timely fashion (and interweaving with the pictures is a very nice touch!) is tremendously appreciated!

And the results are interesting too, mostly from a "oh, I guess we weren't the only ones who took a long time and got skipped over that next puzzle" perspective.

I've identified the chords, and all the single notes on both the guitar and bass.  I have not tried actually playing them.  I noticed that the Fdim chord is aligned slightly to the left of where it should be, but this seems like a typo.  I also noticed that "sullen" is replaced with "secret", and this seems significant.  The word "hex" seems to clue a hexidecimal coding somewhere, but I don't know where.

I also noticed that whenever a chord is played on the guitar, the bass plays an E.  When the guitar plays notes, the bass sometimes plays E and sometimes F.  Morse seemed promising (E and F between chords) but didn't get me anywhere.

That's pretty much where I am.  Hint, please!

You're right on. You just need to find the word that means murderous, temperate, and is a color. I think temperate wasn't the best possible synonym, but the best within the constraints. The word also means "hopeful".

Thanks for posting the links to the puzzles.  I've been enjoying getting to the ones we missed.

The antonyms puzzle for the Spiritus is really cool and thematic.  But I'm stuck.  Presumably there's an English word that means both MURDEROUS and TEMPERATE.  (And given that we've solved the rest, it must be a color also?)

Is there more that I'm missing, or should I just work on beefing up my vocabulary?

(BTW, I really love the Dread log book, mostly because it does so much to contribute to the story of this Ghost.)

Behold: http://photos.weschan.com/gallery/6818183_4HyaT#435760455_B5GvG and ponder "Why does Coed Astronomy look so much sleepier in this photo than in that photo?"

So it's not pretty, and it still has some holes, but here is our puzzle-posting.

http://ghost-patrol.com/puzzles/

We will be improving this over time, and I will try to post any updates here. Also the RSS feed should be active, so hopefully only concerned parties will get the updates.

Here is the accompanying Puzzle Breakdown, which gives you all the puzzles in spreadsheet form.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p8_ZEHVNR2Jikk9-VCFM2Zg

Here is our "results" spreadsheet. A green X indicates a correct answer and the letters indicate the category: Name, Method of death, Date of death, Color, Animality, Place of rest, Flavor.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pxcD8c6MasXVkZYv1vZm9LQ

It indicates only if you wrote the answer into your worksheet so there are many chances for inaccuracy. An orange box indicates an answer that was "inferred" or otherwise did not effect your ability to move forward in the game. If teams feel that a correction needs to be made (either to claim a puzzle they solved (Bat Ghouls?), or to come clean and confess to never having seen a puzzle (you know who you are)) then you can post it here or email ghost patrol directly. Again, we wanted to run a non-competitive game and these results are for novelty purposes only. Consult you physician if unexpected side-effect occur, such as dry-mouth, RLS, heart flatulence, or "Kriddler's" neck.

Enjoy.

Brett, that is so funny.   How could I have known that somebody playing in the game would have already visited that cache, and then look at his bookmarks and notice the name change???  I think the serendipity outweighs any ethical imperative to recuse yourself from that one!!!

Yeah, that cache has seen a lot of action in past games.  Probably time to retire it - from the Game, not geocaching.  I originally created it for a pre-game clue for YABA 3 (http://www.t-hunts.com/yaba2001/).  I put lots of nice stuff in it and left it well-hidden (or so I thought) in a public location.  Two days later it was stolen.  So then I moved it to my community garden plot, where it's been ever since.  So far over 800 geocachers have logged their visit to it.

There's kind of a sweet story associated with that cache.

Back in 2001 two people who had not yet met each other were playing in YABA3.   They each solved the pre-clue, and coincidentally visited the cache on the same day, signing the logbook on the same sheet of paper but on opposite sides of the sheet, so that their signatures almost kissed through the page.

One of them was Jennifer van Stelle, who ran BATH1 with me that year.  The other was Dave Blum (aka www.drclue.com).

Dave also played in BATH1 a couple of months later, and Jen caught his eye, but they didn't actually meet.

Two years later they both played in BATH2, and Dave made a point of introducing himself to Jen at the party after the game.  He then invited her to playtest a game at the SF Zoo the next day, which she did, then he invited her on a date, which apparently went well... and the rest is history.  They got married in October 2007.  I was in the wedding party.

I still have that sheet from the logbook with their signatures on it - I'd like to have it encased in lucite and give it to them one day.
